Community Design Partnerships

Communities are the places in which design lives, breathes and succeeds as part of people’s lives. I work with housing, school, church, and nonprofit communities to create permaculture and community food gardens, providing goal-driven planning, design, grant writing and project management services.

Nadaka Nature Park and Garden, Gresham Oregon

Working with Friends of Nadaka, the City of Gresham and a coalition of non-profits, Design With Nature guided master planning, permitting, grant applications, construction document development and construction oversight to build a neighborhood park in the heart of Rockwood that features a large community garden, nature play area, picnic shelter and walking trail. This unique community led model created opportunities for “green jobs” training for minorities and women.

Trillium Hollow Co-housing Community Site Plan

Design With Nature developed a vision and plan for this challenging site that balanced and met the needs and interests of the 38 community members while protecting natural resources and optimizing outdoor activities.
